Today, while driving along the busy highway, a Husky was jumping around happily in the tray of his owners utility vehicle. I told my 4yo son to look up and see the gorgeous happy doggy... just in time for it to fall off the back, onto the road and roll under our car with a splatter and a thud. FML

YDI, depending on whether or not you increased the distance between you and the truck to be able to brake incase the dog jumped/fell out.

This is awful! So many people always wear a seatbelt but never once think about restraining their fur baby. Even in the cab of a vehicle going slow, suddenly slamming on the brakes can kill an animal that isn’t restrained.
