Content almost refused by staff

Today, I took my daughter's cat in for what should have been a routine surgery. He reacted badly to the anesthesia and died. Now I have to tell my four year old her cat died. Fml

What a catastrophe! Just shows that surgery is never really routine since there is always the chance that things can go horribly wrong. Sucks that you now need to break this to your daughter although at 4, she may not fully grasp the concept of death so you will need to approach the topic very carefully.
