Seriously though, **** ants. They show up out of nowhere in giant groups. We had a problem in one of the rooms in the house and I found online that cinnamon (powder or stick form) helps keep them away. It worked for us, you might want to give it a try if you aren't going to try to take care of them professionally.
We have this problem every year when the rainy season starts. Nothing says fun like waking up to ants all in your bed, biting/stinging you... And you are allergic to ants, but also allergic to ant killing sprays. Other (more or less) non-lethal options for chasing ants away are vinegar (supposed to erase scent trails), lemon juice (apparently unpleasant to ants, erases scent trail), citrus fruit peel (same as lemon juice), Orange Guard (chemical that is like the oil in lemon/citrus peel, only far stronger. Lethal if sprayed directly on ants, but otherwise harmless to the ants beyond making them want to go elsewhere- also child and pet safe, barring allergies), and mint oil (supposed to be the same effect as citrus peel- also supposed to keep away mice and some other insects.) Obviously, you don't have the money to buy any of it now, but it may help down the line. Until then, if you have a fridge, put everything in there.
Refrigerator, refrigerator, refrigerator.
Hope you're okay and can borrow some food money! I've done similar things before it sucks ❤️
