Today, after throwing up and being in the worst pain in my life from gallstones for the past 10 hours, I went to the ER. They refused to help me saying I didn't have gallstones and I must be pregnant. I haven't had sex in over a year. I went home with a huge bill and no help. FML

Oh I've had those before, they hurt so bad, I couldn't even walk properly. I had trouble getting a diagnosis for mine too, it took 6 months after I started getting attacks, and various wrong diagnoses, before they figured out what was actually wrong. I then got my gall bladder removed at 15 because of how bad the pain was, the surgery wasn't even half as bad as the attacks. Don't go to the ER, get a referral for an ultra sound for the upper digestive tract specifically focusing on the gall bladder. That's how they diagnosis it, and then when they find stones, they will treat you from there.

I just got my gallbladder removed on Wednesday. 3 ER trips and 4 months later.

My doctor knew what it was right away and we were waiting for my insurance to start to get all my tests started to confirm. But I had to wait a few weeks in between and had an attack that lasted 10 hours. Lucky me. And my doctor told me if it lasted too long and he wasn't available to see me then to go straight to the ER. And they refused to do anything for me. First time I went and I didn't know what was wrong they told me I had a sprained back... X_X I was supposed to have surgery today to have my gallbladder removed but I caught a cold and they had to put it off for 2 weeks until I get better...

That sounds like hell! Went though something similar and that was their response too :(

I went to hospital in agonizing pain.. suspected heart attack. The idiot doctor who barely spoke English told me that it was pancreatitis. It wasn't. It was a myocardial infarction, a heart attack. Thankfully there doesn't seem to be any permanent damage...
