Today, I arrived in Africa to start my new job. I agreed to come to a city with little to no electricity, and poor water for triple the money I was making in Canada. I just realized my boss and I negotiated in two completely different currencies, and I'm now making half of what I used to. FML

Ok that's like saying you just arrived in north America. You need to say what COUNTRY when your talking about Africa, not the whole continent. Eg 'omg I went to Africa it was so cool!' vs 'omg I went to Sudan it was so cool!'

Neither is Sudan. Both Africa and Sudan are regions, however North Sudan and South Sudan are actual countries.

How do you make a drastic move and life change and not know all the specifics of what's going on around you. Good way to be organized, but you probly will get by with what your making and enjoy your new adventure op take advantage of this moment in your life to experience what your surroundings has to offer.
