Today, I wanted to use my gift card for a liquor store. I went to pay the cashier, who said he needed to see my license. I gave it to him, along with my gift card. After paying, he asked me if I wanted him to cut it up, since the card was now worthless. I said yes. He cut up the wrong card. FML

#4: Actually, the cashier is required to hold the license in their hands and examine it closely to make sure it isn't counterfeit. Most licenses have a watermark that reflects when held the right way, this is why they are supposed to actually hold it in their hands. So, in short: shut up, you have no idea what you're saying. As for the OP, sucks dude. I hope you're getting the cashier to pay for it!! :/

This is so fake. A.) What store cuts up old gift cards? They either toss them or reuse them. There's no reason to cut it up. And B.) Who the hell cuts something up without looking at it? "Let me just stare a the ceiling while using these sharp scissors." This is a bullshit story.
