Seriously... Why do people keep saying "How could you not know it was a seal?" READ the FML correctly and you'll know! It clearly says "... a late night walk..." Obviously it was DARK. And they didn't know it was a seal until they tried to sit on it.. Where is some people's common sense? Geese.

I'm sure it would too.. If it were decomposing. Even if it was stinky, I'm sure at the moment they wouldn't have thought the smell was coming from what they thought was a "log". Just saying.

It might be dark out...but I'm sure you can tell the toughness of log to seal. YDI

Wow.. You soooo just proved me right about the common sense part. You know, when I said: "And they didn't know it was a seal UNTIL they tried to set on it". Duhhhh, you can't tell the toughness of something that you can't see well until you feel it!!! I feel like I'm explaining this to my 8 year old niece! But at least she has common sense.
