Today, I was on a first date with a girl at the movies. Trying to be polite, I held in a fart until an intense, loud action scene came on. As soon as I let go, the scene went silent and my fart was clearly heard to everyone in the movie theatre. My date went to the bathroom. She didn't come back. FML

# 33, the theater could have been crowded and she could have thought it was someone else. But as others said, go to the bathroom. And the split second it went quiet you should have started coughing or something.

Yeah, this is never a good idea because even if you do manage to get it out without a sound, there's always the risk of the smell which you will never be able to explain away. Next time, get to the toilet and let it out there.
