Today, I went to meet a guy for drinks. He recently separated from his girlfriend and I thought this would be in the bag. As soon as he shows up he tells me they got back together and he only came because he felt bad for me. FML

-squints at OP- So... You were going to get an emotionally compromised guy drunk in order to get him to either agree to a date or to take advantage of him... we're supposed to feel bad for you, for what reason?

Yeah, it's definitely a pretty awful thing for OP to do. I think it's safe to say OP'S not a very good person.

Today, I got divorced. In a 4 minute 40 second phone call with the judge, which ended with him saying, "Congratulations!" I didn't want this. I just didn't see the point in fighting to stay in a marriage that my ex didn't want. Now my underlying depression is worse, and I have to fake it for the sake of our kids. FML

Today, after going to the convenience store and getting my card declined, the clerk let me come back home with all the things I'd bought so I could look for money and pay with cash instead, so I went back to pay a few minutes later. Karma paid back the goodwill 3 minutes later by making me burn my left hand with boiling water. FML

Today, I learned that, after catching my newly adopted cat so we could spend some quality time in the closet during a tornado warning, she's unwilling to let me close enough to administer her ear drops. I left my covered parking at work and took hail damage for this. FML
