Today, I took my $2,000 drone out and shot some beautiful footage of an old dam. I hid it behind a rock to explore the area further without carrying it, but when I came back it was gone. I was splitting the payments with my uncle. I work a minimum wage job. FML

Who the hell hides their expensive gear behind a rock? Couldn't you have locked it in your car at least? If you didn't have one, you should have just come back later. There's really no excuse for this, you were asking for your shit to get stolen.

Regardless of wether or not you lost it, you still initially owed half the money for it and still worked a minimum wage job. So makes no difference. You still owed the money to your uncle to begin with before you lost it.

First thing you learn when you get an allowance - if you can't afford it, you don't get it. And if you're too lazy to carry a $2,000 drone, sounds like you shouldn't have had it anyway.

That’s definitely your fault. Yes people shouldn’t be shitty and take things that don’t belong to them, but this is why you don’t leave things like that unattended. You may have thought carrying it would be an inconvenience, but it would have saved you a big chunk of change if you had just carried it with you.

Unless you were Way the **** out in the middle of nowhere, population zero, why would you leave expensive equipment easily accessible? And if you were in the middle of an area that is truly unpopulated... be glad that whoever or whatever stole it settled for just the drone!
