Today, I ran over a squirrel. I saw it twitching, so I backed over it to end its suffering. It wasn't a squirrel; it was a kitten. The children it belonged to watched as I ran over their kitten. Twice. FML

I don't understand this I thought the rules of driving were clear when you have an accident you get out of the car and check things out it means if you hit something you get out of the car see what was hit analyze the possibility of survival and leave a damn note or something backing over an animal again is cold

Why on earth would you decide you should put the kitten out of its misery? That was for a vet to decide, not you. Maybe a vet could have saved it if you hadn't run over it the second time.
