Today, I overheard a conversation two of my friends were having about Homer, so I interjected with a quip about a Simpson's episode I had seen before. They were talking about the poet. I'm an AP literature student. FML

Today, at my mum’s birthday dinner, my brother-in-law used a Latin phrase in the wrong way. Since we all have learned Latin, I taught him the correct way until everyone facepalmed in my direction. He made a rather nice wordplay and now I’m known as the educated idiot who is too stupid to understand a simple joke. FML

wow 45 and 46- ur both screwed up #46 how the hell does this fml make him/her sound full of him/her self?- u need to relax and # 45 I have no words

why is this an fml? who really cares if you sounded dumb in front of your friends

#64: Simple. What was the point of telling us that he/she is taking AP Lit? How is mistaking the Greek poet with Simpsons an "FML" moment? It's not even embarrassing, but because he/she is taking AP LITERATURE, it's become too big of an embarrassment to consider it an "FML." Therefore, this person is full of it. Taking AP Lit doesn't make you smart; it doesn't even properly teach you literature.

On the bright side you're not as big a nerd as your friends. I mean, honestly, who has casual conversations about ancient poets? unless this was a class related discussion in that case then you're not too bright.

LOL! i might've accidentally done that, too. :P when i hear "homer" i think of the simpsons, not the author!
