Today, I found out that the little arrow next to my gas gauge actually points to the side of the car where the tank is. For the past year-and-a-half I've been sticking my head out the window and even calling my parents to ask which side it was on, because I can never remember. FML

Why do you need to call your parents when you could get out of the car and check for yourself? C'mon, it's not that hard.

You should know what side it's on after your first week with the car

No shit? I wonder if there's one on my car, that's dope

u don't need to call ur parents. ur the one in the car just get out. wow..

Please just sell your car and make it safer for the rest of the state you live in. I don't even drive, but I can tell you that the fuel filler for Dad's car (05 Hyundai Elantra) is on the driver's side. The tires need to be aired up to roughly 30 PSI minimum according to the car's manual, but Dad fills them to the rated pressure of the tire, 40 PSI, in order to gain better fuel mileage. Gas is on the right, brake in the middle, clutch on the left. To stop, you apply both clutch and brake, or you stall the engine and get hit from behind. Oil needs changing every 5000 miles. In other words: I know more about a car that I don't drive than you know about the metal missile you're trying to command. Most likely with a nose in a cell phone, a radio at full blast, and not giving a **** about what, or who, you've nearly hit. Asshole.

After a year and a half, you can't remember which side the gas tank is on? You've got problems.

Wait there's actually an indicator to tell you that? Why have I been bothering to remember all these years?!

A year and a half?'?! You sir are a ******* tard!!

The arrow is obvious. What many people don't know is that, if there is a picture of a gas pump, the pump handle is on the side where the filler nozzle is on the car, too...

I get it. I never realized it with my last car, and finally saw it after I bought my new car. But I usually just remember which side it's on..... I don't actually need the arrow.
