Don't feel bad. Once while camping in upstate New York, I slept through a tornado that eventually destroyed every campsite around ours. We estimate it got within 50 feet of us. Trees were falling, the dog was howling, my dad was hollering at me to wake up, and the tornado howled as it tore across the mountains. My dad now calls me Rip Van Winkle.

Reminds me of the time my mum slept through an earthquake we had. The beds were moving, stuff was shaking and she still just slept.

Was anybody else expecting OP to say they woke up in their bed but they live alone?

He deserves it for being a deep sleeper? Do you never take a nap in the afternoon/evening?

I can understand hard work, but everyone's entitled to a break and a nap from time to time.
