Today, after my house almost got broken into last week, when I heard some noises in the kitchen I went to investigate. I saw a huge rat run across my floor, and nearly peed myself thinking it was an intruder. FML

Today, after feeding my cats, I walked out of the room. Five minutes later, I heard one of them making a hacking sound. Knowing the outcome, I went to get some paper towels to wipe up the mess. When I went in, my other cat was eating it. Certain things cannot be unseen. FML

Today, I woke up and went into the bathroom and noticed a dark mass in the toilet. Thinking someone took a dump and didn't flush, I approached the toilet ready to dispose of it. That's when I noticed its whiskers and ears. It was a rat, and it was alive. FML

Hey, I love rats. I've had my share of them for pets... But wild rats are a bit different. Unless they're still babies, then you can probably domesticate them :)

Not all cats are good at catching rodents. You basically have to train them when they are young to be good hunters.

Um...you keep cameras in your kitchen? If this is for broad home security purposes, I can understand - but if you put up the cams to specifically spy on your cats, it's make you look rather idiotic. Sure, you can train your cats not to be on the counters during the day, but once you're asleep...they're cats. They'll do whatever the hell they want to do. What are you going to do, sit on the counter with a spray bottle all night and wait for them? (And yes, having a wild rat in your house sucks, but that's beside the point.)
