Today, I brought some cupcakes to my class for my birthday, like all the cool kids do. When it came time to sing happy birthday, the entire class said "happy birthday to" then forgot my name. Except my teacher. She said Steve. My name's Jeff. FML

Today, the shy girl in my class brought a cake to share with everyone, since it's her birthday. Excited about the cake, I got everybody to sing "Happy Birthday" for her, only to realize too late that nobody in the class knew her name, myself included. FML

Today, I celebrated my birthday with my family. While they were singing Happy Birthday to me, my mother called me by my brother's name. When I blew out the candles a moment later, I joked, "I wish my mother could remember which son I am." Before we had even started eating the cake, she called me by my father's name. FML

Today, my grandparents took me out for dinner for my birthday. After singing, "Happy birthday dear…" they froze. I had to say my own name because they'd forgotten it. FML

Today, I celebrated my birthday with my friend who has the same birthday by going out to dinner with a bunch of our friends. The waiter brought out a cake for my friend but not for me. No one noticed my exclusion. I sang happy birthday on my birthday. FML

Today, it's my birthday. At my workplace, we always get a cake for whoever's birthday it is. They somehow forgot about me. I've been working there for a year, and my grandparents and my dad own the restaurant I work at. FML

Methinks this is quite fishy.... Though it could always be a recollection of a prior FML moment. I mean, tradition states we must put Today, *story*. FML This could've happened some long time ago, and he/she just couldn't put "8 years ago" in place of "Today"

um, how old are you? i'm confused. kids stopped bringing cupcakes & singing happy birthday in class in, like, 5th grade, then everyone knew everyone elses name. Unless your like very new to the school or something. even if you never talk, most people would still know your name...

These people do not understand that cupcakes are the shit no matter how old you are. And free food is 100X better then any other food. People need to go to college and learn this. Happy birthday Jeff! Maybe people will remember you now!

well, that's rather odd. I'm not going to lie. I don't understand this at all. Well, I do but it reminds me of something my seven year old brother would say. No cool kids bring cupcakes, we do pizza and beer. So, I guess we're pretty dank compared to you. Sorry there Jeffo.
