The boyfriend isn't right for you, that's your choice and he deserves the truth. Blaming your family is immature. It sounds like if this is the first meeting with the family, you guys haven't been together for very long so I don't think this guy is going to jump off a cliff or anything.. Just tell him how you're feeling and either talk it out or break it off.
