On the run

Today, I was in a hurry to catch a plane. I got halfway to the airport when I realized I'd forgotten my phone. I drove back to the house and searched for it. I finally gave up and returned to the airport, only to find that I was 10 minutes late for my plane. Just then, my pocket vibrated. FML

No ever said it was his phone

I'm pretty sure there's an unspoken rule that you have to get to the airport at least two hours before your flight leaves, to leave enough time to get through security and whatnot. This is why!

even better, had he actually just gone ahead and gotten on his plane, while going through security he would have had to EMPTY HIS POCKETS... thus finding the damn phone!!! total, total, TOTAL YDI!!!

 Ok, OP perhaps you left your phone at home. it's not the end of the world. YDI for thinking that it was.

you thought "where's my phone?" and didnt check your pockets, christ your stupid

I call fake on this one, simply because the OP was in a hurry, then saw it fit to drive home looking for a phone. Unless you live very close to the airport, that would take upwards of a round 30 minute trip, plus at least 30 minutes to look, so if you had an hour to look, why were you in such a hurry in the first place? Also, why didn't you check your pockets in the first place? And seriously, is not having a mobile phone on holiday the end of the world? No. It is not. YDI.

I agree with most of what you said #61, however you don't know where the OP was supposed to go on that flight and why. Sure, it could have been a vacation, but what about a business trip? If he doesn't have his phone on him while he's out on one of those, he may very well be ******. Regardless, you, OP, should learn to check your pockets first. YDI

True, I didn't think about that #64. Tis a good point indeed :P but if that's the case, then surely it'd be the first thing you'd make sure you had?

why would bringing your phone, ever, be a reason to miss a flight? YDI

umm... aren't you usually supposed to go like 2-3 hours early to catch a plane? like check-in and passing security.... why the hell would anyone wait last minute..?
