I would never kill an animal either, but humans are animals, are they not? Even the Animal Liberation Front, which is sometimes regarded as a terrorist organization, says that "all reasonable precautions [must be] taken not to harm human or non-human life" in all its operations.

How did this question come up?? Being vegan myself, I'd have to agree with him! I wouldn't kill a person but, I wouldn't kill an animal either!

I normally try to avoid saying this on FML, but you should dump him. If he would kill a human, let alone one he cares about, over a cat, dump him. Lots of people would never kill an animal, but a cat vs a human? And yes, it's been said many times, but humans are animals too.
