Today, I was scrubbing the filtration system on my aquatic turtle tank. Somehow a mix of cleaning solution, turtle waste and slime managed to splash under the edge of my glasses and land in my eye. My eye won't stop stinging. FML

As a fellow glasses wearer I firmly believe glasses somehow attract more things to land in your eyes. Once I was walking with a friend through a small dust storm; I got a desert full of dust in my eyes while my friend was perfectly fine and even pointed out the irony.

Today, I learned from my dad that I'm astoundingly similar to my uncle, whom I never met. It was pretty cool to learn more about him, until my dad he told me that the reason he died so young is because he committed suicide. I've been suffering from severe depression since I was fourteen. Foreshadowing? I hope not. FML

Today, my dad used the stove to boil water. Unfortunately, he turned the wrong burner on, setting the smoke alarm off. What's worse was the smell of burning plastic that came from the coffeemaker being melted down. It's been over an hour, and my eyes still burn like hell when I walk into the kitchen. FML

Today, it's my birthday. The only people who wished me a happy birthday were the ones who saw the "birthday boy" poster my sister plastered around school, which included a photo of me as a kid dressed up as a girl. FML

Today, I was on a plane returning to University, and I decided to shut my eyes. I opened them about 45 minutes later just as the plane landed to find I couldn't move at all. I was in sleep paralysis. The air hostesses had to lift me out of my seat. FML
