Today, I was in IKEA, furniture shopping with my dad. He was looking at one couch that was particularly small. I said "dad that couch is for like a midget." I look over to see a midget looking at me, sitting on the same couch in a different color. He definitely heard me. FML

Today, I was in the supermarket when I saw a little boy trying to reach for something on the top shelf. I went over to him and asked if his mom knew where he was. The boy turned around. He was actually a very angry midget. FML

Today, I was eating at a restaurant in town, when a small boy started looking at me. I simply smiled and went back to eating, only to hear out of the corner of my ear, "Daddy, why does that kid's face look like that"? He said it so loud, the three tables next to us turned and looked. FML

Today, my boyfriend and I were furniture shopping. They had miniature versions built of some of the desks. He commented how they were "cute for little kids" to use. They were 6 inches tall. I had to explain to him that they were only models, not real desks. I'm dating Zoolander. FML

#16: "Midget" isn't an offensive term. It's what they are. If I were a midget, I'd be more offended by "little people." It sounds so mocking. #17: Dwarfs and midgets are totally different. Seriously. They aren't the same at all. Either way, I'd be offended if I were that midget, but I still don't think it's your fault.

If it's for a midget, then it's for a midget.... no one should be offended. Sort of like seeing a moo-moo and telling your dad it's for fat people and right next is a fat person with a different moo-moo.
