Today, I took my daughter's cat in for what should have been a routine surgery. He reacted badly to the anesthesia and died. Now I have to tell my four year old her cat died. Fml

What a catastrophe! Just shows that surgery is never really routine since there is always the chance that things can go horribly wrong. Sucks that you now need to break this to your daughter although at 4, she may not fully grasp the concept of death so you will need to approach the topic very carefully.

Today, I had a lovely gluten-free pizza out at a local restaurant. After I'd finished, they informed me it wasn't in fact gluten-free. I am Celiac and this means I will be ill for the next six weeks. FML

Today, I got in trouble for following the rules at work. This is the third workplace where this has happened. Each time, when I provided the written document that showed the rules that I followed, I was told, "Well…" Don't make it a "rule" if it's really going to be a guideline with 50+ possible exceptions. Today, I met an old school friend at a leisure centre swimming pool. We talked for a while and then walked to the end of the pool. Suddenly, out of nowhere, she kneed me in the nuts and pushed me into the water. Once I got up from the water, she told me It was for being mean to her at school. FML
