Today, my fiancé called off our engagement because I told him, "I've had fun, now I want to settle down in life." According to him, our marriage should be our fun. I have no idea what he's talking about. Yeah, mortgages and babies are such fun. Idiot. FML

Yeah, I can see why the poor guy ran. You don’t sound like you want to get married or start a family. All I can see is you, 20 years in the future, blaming him for your boring life and resenting the kids for stealing your youth. If you want to stay single and childless, just say so up front.
