I would wear it was a tube top. I go out all the time, see a skirt I would NEVER wear, and say, "Wow, that would be a really cute top."
YDI for being a fucktard. No one had to tell me not to wear my pants on my head and somehow i got by.
F-that chick's-L for wearing a skirt that is small enough for a tube top. Ah well, I guess I can't say that since tube top is (to some) synonymous with "sleave-less shirt that may or may not expose your stomach"
She should've replied by saying, "why not? some people have an imagination. I think it's cute, so F off." I have friends that wear skirts as tube tops/dresses on purpose.
Maybe no one bothered to tell you because no one could tell the difference. If it looks cute as a top, why bother wearing it as a skirt? Be yourself, nothing wrong with mixing it up.

How do you mistake a skirt for a tube top?
To #1: it can be really easy. esspecially these days where skirt can be mistaken for belts. And to OP, youre not from Burlington are you? Cause I saw someone wearing what was clearly a skirt as a top a few months ago...
