Why exactly did you have your phone with you while kayaking?? and keys should be in some kind of secured bag or something. ydi
At least now you know how that was not a well thought out plan. Sorry you lost your belongings, and I hope your husband is okay, but at least you'll have a story to tell.
Sorry but thats a YDI, dont take those items on kayak trips
My kayak has a watertight built in container at the back that you can put in food and anything you want to keep dry and safe
Yours might be well cared for enough to *stay* watertight, but most rental kayaks I've used don't seem to be. That space will still keep stuff in the kayak, if not dry, though putting anything in there in ziploc bags solves that too.
Why would you take that with you? I never take my phone or keys when I go kayaking! FYL
Sarah... My kayak's sinking, I don't know what to do!
Probably not a wise decision to take your keys and phone with you. Sorry OP
tipping over is part of kayaking. did you guys have a guide or just rented some kayaks and winged it? it sucks that you lost your keys and phone but you really shouldnt have brought them along.
