Aww...I feel the same with males quite often. But it takes time. Hey, who knows, maybe one day you'll find a woman who appreciates a man who knows his Transformers history ;)

And whose fault is that? Hahaha But seriously, i'll get better. I promise, most girls and women out there (those worth your time, at least) are pretty congenial. Stick to relatively mild compliments at first, i.e. "You have beautiful eyes/ You look lovely tonight!" (so as not to appear creepy), and if she seems receptive, let her guide the conversation. A little awkward is alright, it can be very endearing :) Happy flirting! Also, you might think about shelving the movies for awhile...
