Today, I came to the unhappy realization that I’m living such a cliche. I’m completely in love with a totally unavailable man. He’s funny, smart, and drop dead gorgeous. There’s no way I could ever tell him how I truly feel. He’s gay and I’m a woman. We’ll never be more than friends. FML

Today, I've actually developed a crush on a guy I never intended to crush on, and also can't have. For one he's married and utterly devoted to his wife. And even if that weren't true, he's so far out of my league I need binoculars to see him. And to top it all of? He's fictional. FML

Today, the guy I’ve been in love with for almost a year, who told me he “wasn’t in the right headspace” for a relationship is actually dating some girl. Every time I try to get close to a guy, they make up excuses. I’m starting to lose faith in love and think I’ll never be good enough for anyone. FML

Today, I found out the girl I met online, who I spent hours talking to every day for the past 2 months, and who I fell in love with is actually my gay roomate. He says if I could fall in love with "her", I can fall in love with him. It doesn't work that way, dickhead. FML

Today, I realized that I might be falling for a girl. She's fucking beautiful. She can't love me, I'm not good enough for her, and she's in love with someone else. Besides, I have a girlfriend but it never seems like we're close and I don't even know if I had a crush on her before, but I still love her as a friend and can't break her heart. FML

You are not going to be “forever alone” unless you choose to do that… There are multiple potential people who would be a good match - Just not this person… There is no “one ideal mate” just people who may or may not be a match. No matter what, unless the relationship works for both there is no relationship.
