Today, I woke up to find myself permanently banned from Discord for “minimum age requirements.” I’m 20. Yesterday, someone on Discord DM’d me asking me how many eggs were in a dozen and I answered by saying 12, and the next day my account is banned. Discord will not reinstate my account, even after appealing the ban. FML

Today, despite the fact that I'm 20 years-old, my parents never allow me to go out and have fun with my friends, under the pretext that I'm a girl. I'm stuck at house all year long, I only go out to the college they forced me to study at, and they decide everything about me. I’m tired. FML

Today, I started to fill out a job application online, with age being one of the first things I put in. After half an hour and 40 questions, I hit submit. I was then told that I wasn't old enough to apply. FML

Today, I turned 18 and I’m now subject to adult discipline. My dad says I will no longer be grounded or have my phone taken away, but I have three strikes and if I get to three, he’s throwing me out to get my own house. He then gave me my first strike because I was 30 minutes late picking up my nana. FML

Today, I submitted some honest negative feedback to the customer service team of all my favourite games, Today is also the day all my accounts got permanently banned from my console and I have lost all my progress. Bye bye 22 years. FML

Not entirely fair... some people have social anxiety or may be neurospicy (ASD, ADHD, etc) and may find it difficult or impossible to make friends in the real world.

We are social animals and regardless of social anxieties or conditions we depend on real connections with physical people to survive. Online communities may sometimes present a safe space but not always and cannot replace real world social interactions or relationships. Like I sad, it may s challenging but worth it and necessary. How did people with social anxieties and social disorders cope before the internet I wonder🤔… community help, family, friendships, chance interactions with others in similar circumstances perhaps?
