Today, I got a small scar on my faced removed at a plastic surgeon's. Afterward, I told my mom that losing the scar felt weird, like I lost something that gave me character. My mom replied, "Don't worry, you have plenty of other flaws to give you character." FML

Why did you do that? Scares on the face are so sexy and makes people look mysterious! I wish I had one (I am girl and I know a lot of people who loves scares on the face!). Those little flaws make you special. "You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the same decaying organic matter as everyone else, and we are all part of the same compost pile."

I have a huge scar on the top of my wrist (not the underside so no one mistakes it for a suicide slash or anything lol) from having my wrist rebuilt. The scar was minimized by good stitching and the cast afterwards, but I like my scar. It doesn't bother me at all. Some people it bothers, to each their own.

Maybe she's just jealous of your youth? I've only recently realised that when my mum makes disparaging comments about my clothes/face/body it's cos she feels crap about her own looks. Don't take it to heart. As long as you're happy with yourself :)

The mom here is awesome! If you're stupid enough to waste money to get a tiny scar removed by a plastic surgeon, then your mom, or anyone for that fact, has plenty of right to tell you about all the other little blemishes you could waste more money on.

my god. doesnt anyone know that this something all parents say. stop complaining, shes not slandering u saying she doesnt love you and ur life is like a broken down car. everyone has flaws. stop complaining. plus u got plastic surgery for christ sake, i agree with #42 sorta. u need to chill
