Today, I called my auto insurance company to try to get some discounts and lower my rate. I ended up adding $30 to my monthly payment. FML

Time to switch insurance companies, go to I've of those comparison websites. That's how I found my current company, and they are still the best rate after 11 years.

Same happened to me! I moved closer to work and changed my address thinking insurance would be cheaper since I'm driving nearly 300 miles less a week but my insurance actually went up $15 a month

Had that happen to me before as well. Insurance company added my teenage brother to my insurance. When I untangled that they retracted multi line deduction (I had home and car insurance with them). When I complained about that they put it back... and added my brother to my insurance again. Enough said I'm insured with different company now.
