Today, my mom opened a letter, it says I owe some lawyer 3000. I had fired the lawyer and he thinks he can still charge me and overbill me. I pay my ex wife 6k a month, and paid for her masters degree and she refuses to work and lives with her parents at home and bitches when i pick my son up. FML

None of that means that you don't owe the lawyer money. Did you fire him before or after he did the work he is charging you for? There's really not enough information.

This is not surprising. Why use your degree and have to work when you can live off someone else. The ex seems like a miserable person but that doesn't mean you don't still owe the lawyer even if he screwed you.

Today, I found out that the degree I'd assumed I had for the last 10 years was invalid due to a clerical error. Surely it'd be an easy fix? Nope. Both the degree structure and the admin system have been entirely changed between now and then. I'd have to study for two more years to validate it. FML

Today, I set aside a weekend to spend time with a friend. I learned that someone else is staying there: a fat, unemployed man-child who talks shit about us on Facebook, while his manipulative wife pays his bills. He got evicted from his last home when he pretended to be a ninja and cut up his neighbor's garden. FML

Today, I was leading a wheelchair fundraiser to raise money to make public areas wheelchair accessible. I had several guest speakers, all of which were confined to wheelchairs. About ten minutes after the fundraiser was supposed to begin, I realized that the stage was wheelchair incompatible. FML
