If he's cut hair before and yours was just a screw up, then that really sucks. If he had no experience cutting hair and you were aware of that, then it's kinda on you. But hey, hair extentions for the mean time might be a good solution :)

I know the feeling. There was a time I tried to cut myself into a cool style. I ended up having to wear hair gel for everyday for like two weeks to hide how weird it looked, until my hair grew back enough that it looked back to normal. Never again.

People at beauty schools are students and thus more likely to mess up in BIG ways, free is cheaper than "cheap," and it sounds like you somehow think men never need hair cuts. Or, you have such an antiquated viewpoint on the world that you think men can't be fashion conscious.
