I always forget how old I am when people ask me. After turning 18 age didn't really seem important anymore.

When people ask me my age, I ask them what year it is so I can work it out. That's assuming I know what month we're in.

Don't worry, I thought my dad was older than he was for 4 or 5 years. I would just say in the fluster of hoping it was a great cake you had a brain fart and slipped up on the age. I know that's why I'd get it wrong. And I too have to keep reminding myself how old I am. When I turned 18 (before that I think) a birthday was just another day, except people got a bit weird and I got given things I like but don't buy. Like smelly candles.
