Ouch

Today, in my karate dojo, I was being taught how to fall properly. My sensei instructed us not to fall with our hands out because it could sprain our wrists. As I was getting ready to help demonstrate a backwards break fall, I actually fell over. Guess where my hands went. FML

Tsk, Tsk, shame on you! Now how will all the little dojo boys and girls know how to fall? Everything is all your fault

It is a natural instinct. When my dad was my age (you know, a long time ago, like in the 80s) he took karate and was a brown belt. When he was having a competition to get the next colour belt, he fell and ended up spraining both his wrists. That ended his karate career.
