Why on EARTH wouldn't you say something along the lines of "Actually that guy gets a pretty bum rap, I know him quite well and he's cool." Then smile impishly and admit its your jeep. Seriously people, being socially awkward is not something to ASPIRE to... I can say that because I can socially awkward with the best of them please.
