Today, my fiancé's parents visited. I keep chickens for their eggs, and his parents own a farm, so we had a connection. They told us to leave the house while they cooked us dinner. When we returned, we faced two steaming plates of chicken. My chickens. They had names. FML

Today, while I was staying at a farm for a few nights, I got really connected to a chicken I met. It was so tame and really cuddly. I legit loved it so much. Later on, we had chicken for dinner. It was the same chicken. He also had a name. FML

Reading this one made me sick to my stomach with sadness :( I'm sorry about your chickens. But what is wrong with your fiance's parents that they didn't even ask before they started murdering your chickens? There are 101 reasons why people have chickens, up to and including pets. They had no right to just go in and start killing them under the assumption they were food. I'm sorry :(

#'s 9, 24, 147, 153, 159, 212 1) Stop preaching. No one cares that you like meat and any vegetarian has heard it all before. 2) Sure we have pointy teeth. We also have brains, and some choose to let the latter guide them rather than the former. 3) Grow up. OP : If this is true, I am sorry for your loss. Regardless of the object, it is the ultimate disrespect to not even have the courtesy to get a go-ahead before killing or destroying something that does not belong to you.
