Today, my step-brother went grocery shopping alone for the first time. He came home with Ramen and 14 bottles of chocolate milk, which will expire by the 20th. My step-dad is insisting we eat it so it doesn't go to waste. FML

I'll take the milk if you aren't going to drink it...

@16 The FML says it was his first time shopping alone, so how was Op supposed to know that he was going to do a shitty job? Also, chocolate milk and ramen are fine, but but it sounds like that's all they have to eat for a few days. That just sucks.

Hey don't go hating on ramen that stuff makes the perfect snack, especially when you put some Tabasco sauce on it

Throw a little pork or chicken in it if you can too! Very yummy.

and some frozen veggies or something. make a makeshift stir fry out of it.

Man if I'd been that stupid my dad would've chucked me out so hard my ass wouldn't have hit the driveway. And told me to come back after I did it right. I guess that's why I wasn't that stupid.

How could your dad send an innocent child out there all by himself?

I fail to see why this is a problem. There were times in my life when I would have been grateful for ramen and chocolate milk.... It wouldn't have been my first choice, but it is better than nothing, which many will be having for dinner tonight.

@21 Get over yourself. Your bad experiences are no reason for Op to look forward to several days of ramen and chocolate milk. Besides, you have no idea if Op has had or hasn't had experiences similar to or worse than yours.

@26 Don't feed into it, anybody that's got a forehead piercing is just looking for attention.

It's a bindi, not a piercing. I don't know why I got down voted for saying one should be grateful for what they have, when others have so little.

I hope no one is lactose intolerant. My husband LOVES chocolate milk, however milk does not love him. He doesn't care, he is happy to fill the air with his toxic flatulence and run to the toilet with explosive diarrhoea. I told him he can drink it all he likes, he just has to do it at his mothers place.

They have tablets that have the enzyme needed to digest lactose. You take them about 15 minutes before consuming dairy products and they help prevent the consequences. Lactaid is the brand name, I think.
