Today, my roommate got completely wasted. He was so drunk he thought the fridge was talking. He decided to make it stop by unplugging it. Most of our food is basically ruined now. FML

If neither of you were repeatedly opening and closing the fridge door and it's only been a few hours then most of your food should still be okay, although you should always check it to make sure before you eat it/drink it.

Anything that is actually ruined should be replaced at your room mate's expense, immediately, not when its convenient. If they have enough money to get THAT wasted then they should easily be able to afford it. If not, hopefully the financial pinch will teach them a lesson.
