Better than the overdramatize flip outs that a lot of religious parents first throw when they hear about such things. At least this way it's more a "try not to have a baby" than it is "if you have sex you are going to hell."

Sounds like his family need to learn how to respect boundaries. He should talk to them about that! Your sexlife is your business, and not theirs! That must have been super awkward!
