not actually I'm sure there is camera footage and when someone try's to redeem the ticket they will ask questions about when you bought it where and if you bought any other items cus it logs info like that and I'm %100 sure any store that sells lottery had a camera and they will know who bought it the person who payed for the numbers has the rights to the numbers that's the bottom line

it could but the bottom line is who ever payed for the ticket owns the numbers most likely the op bought it at a gas station and it is more than likely there is surveillance of the purchase I'm sure the evidence will prove beyond a reasonable doubt who the owner of the ticket is

I do have one questioned then, and I'm being serious this time. what if she claims she gave him the money and asked if he would pick the ticket up for her? I know there has been several suits over this before. the legal fees alone can just eat that lottery money up. there was one paticular case where a group of coworkers sent one person out to pick up all the tickets. everyone was handed their own tickets. one person won and the rest claimed it was suppose to be split if anyone did win. apparently that wasn't the case. just curious. I know I'll keep my tickets hush hush. no one will know if I ever win.

I doubt you're telling the truth, but she can't cash it, and I'm pretty sure you can go to the gas station you bought it from and verify that YOU were the one that bought it. Then just tell her you'll give her a cut of it and don't pony up the money when she gives it to you.
