I severely fail to see how this is a FML. I personally think its creative and kinda cute. I bet her boyfriend ended up giving her a real ring, but did that as a cute way of proposing. Now, if she didn't get and actual ring, that's another matter entirely.
If marrage is a serious deal to your partner it should be done properly, however I reckon thats classic! good on him ;) Still, ne should have taken your views into consideration first.
It IS quite original... but also very impersonal. Maybe if he'd done that then came over to her house knowing she was online and presented her with an actual ring. Meh.
Yea true, I believe in being original and adding your own touch to a proposal, but yeah, depending on how he handled the rest of the proposal after the story, who knows?
aww that is so sweet!! I don't think thats an FML, I think it's cute :)
I think it's cute :) Why do you call this a FML? I'd call it a LML :P Although, doesn't he has the guts to ask you in reality? I've once heard a story about a guy who was playing Halo online, as well with his girlfriend. He killed some guys, and took their weapons. Then he wrote 'Marry me' with the weapons on the floor, and asked his girl to go to a top and look to the platform downstairs :) This reminds me of it. (By the way, the one who told me is the one who stole the weapons while the guy was busy to spell the words xD)
at least he was being creative about how he was going to propose.
Is he short on cash? Maybe he thought this would be cute, until he could afford to buy you a proper ring.

Isn't that a good thing? I mean, yeah it's not an expensive restaurant and real ring ... but I think it's sweet and almost romantic. :)
Don't post a FML because you are sad you didn't get some multi-thousand dollar ring. He could've given you nothing, like some people on here get. lol
