She can wait her turn. The stall isn't hers alone. In many public bathrooms the changing tables are located in the handicapped stalls as well, does that mean only people with kids can use them? Oh and as far as the handicapped having to wait in line, some amusement parks allow them to bypass the line. I know Disney Land was this way when I was there about 6 years ago.
Irish (#133) - You make good points, and I do agree, and I think this is actually closer to the point I was trying to make. I can understand people using the disabled toilets for emergencies or whatever, it's when it becomes 'just another stall' I can see people ignoring the fact that there is a disabled person in the queue, and in my mind they have priority for that stall. I also quite like your theory between Freeze and 'Chaos in a later comment...
Those are not handicap only, they are handicap accessible
it says handicap ACCESSIBLE, not ONLY. It's not like they aren't allowed in the other stalls. I sure as hell am not going to pee in my pants over it!! You did the right thing, she is just a raging ****. Mad props.
Excellent point. I don't think anyone's mentioned that yet. (This is not sarcasm, btw)
She sits all day, surely she can wait a few more minutes.
Handicapped stalls are the last ones you take. They aren't forbidden to any other use or else there would be a sign stating so. A picture of a man in a wheelchair doesn't deliver that message.
YDI. It's generally not a good idea to use handicapped bathrooms/parking spaces/etc. unless you ARE handicapped.
Handicapped spaces are officially marked and reserved for the handicapped and you need a "permit" to use them. It's against the law to use them without having a sticker, which you can only get if you are handicapped. However, the handicapped stalls are not officially marked or reserved, meaning all people are allowed to use them without getting in trouble, it's just much more polite if there is a handicapped person in line to allow them to use it first. However, in this case, the OP was in the stall before the girl in the wheelchair came in, meaning that she would have to wait because, like I said before, those stalls are not reserved. They are different from the parking spaces.

I can understand her being upset if you're not handicapped. but he should just chill out if it was the only stall open what were you supposed to do?
The handicapped chick needs to calm the hell down. It's not like she personally owns the stall. She's not royalty and being handicapped doesn't mean she is above waiting her turn like anyone else. What a bitch. You should have cussed her out back.
