Today, I found out my blood type is B. My parents are type A and type O. It's not genetically possible to be blood type B if your parents are A and O. This means I am either an adoptee, a mutant, or an illegitimate child. FML

looks like someone's going to have a long conversation tonight

http://www.biology.arizona.edu/human_bio/problem_sets/blood_types/btcalcB.cfm not possible. FYL OP! I'd have them both sit down and tell you what happened.

Blood Type B could be a recessive gene on one of your parents. One parent could be heterozygous for that trait, so it may be technically possible that your parents are your biological ones.

You need to have a talk with your "parents"

What if the Mom cheated on the Dad & the Dad doesn't know? This could open a huge can of worms!!!

I felt the same way when I found out I was AB- and my parents were A+ and B+.

My parents are both type O and it's impossible for me to be type A, which is my blood type. We did paternity test in and everything and I am their child. Apparently there's a 1/10million chance of the mutation. It's easier for a B to sprout from an A than an A from an O. It's a 1/million chance of that.
