Today, my husband of ten years was playing the Sims. I asked him about the house he built. Apparently, it was his dream house, and he recreated himself as a Sim so he could live in it. Then I asked him where the wife was. There was no wife. It was his happy place. FML

Same thing different taste

Today, my son was playing The Sims, when I saw him remove the door to a room and set it on fire with a Sim trapped inside. I chuckled at first, until I saw that the Sim was me. Meanwhile, my wife's Sim was happily painting in the next room, not giving a crap. All too accurate, sadly. FML

Today, after learning that my wife has been cheating on me, I decided to distract myself by playing The Sims. Not long after I began, my Sim's wife basically started cheating on him. FML

Today, I played The Sims just so I'd know what it was like to live alone, own a home, and have a well-paying job that didn't slowly kill me from the inside out. It was the happiest I've been in months. FML

Oh please, just because it's a domestic game doesn't mean that it's a domestic fantasy that he has built. Maybe he truly uses the game as a way to completely get away from EVERYONE. It's not like he replaced you with a stripper named Candi. Everyone needs an escape, this could be like his forest of solitude.

1. Don't listen to teenagers comments 2. I understand where you are comming from, it doesn't feel good to think your life partner might feel their life could be better without u. It may not be that way though. 3. Find out how deeply to read into it, it could be a sign, or it could be a man being male, u know how they are. Guys don't think of things like we do. At least he didn't add a girlfriend who is your opposite. 4. Don't make a big deal of it if you decide to talk to him. 5. Good luck, cheer up! :)

Another happy couple in another happy marriage. Isn't marriage great? YDI for being one of the millions of people who think marriage means everlasting happiness. Unless you're in a marriage at least as long as his and you're still happy, any arguments against this is invalid.
