Today, my boyfriend got pulled over and arrested for driving with a suspended license. Instead of getting my car impounded, his friend thought he'd do me a favor and drive it back to me. He doesn't know how to drive stick and blew my engine. My boyfriend is in jail and I no longer have a car. FML

Same thing different taste

Today, my boyfriend went to jail for a DUI. In a panic, I rushed to go bail him out. On the way to the jail I was stopped for running a red light. I soon joined my boyfriend in jail with my very own DUI charge. FML

Today, I let my dad borrow my car. I found out a few hours later that he has had a suspended license for three years. How did I find out? He got pulled over and arrested. My car was also impounded. I'm a college student barely making it as it is. Guess who can't afford the impound fees? FML

Today, I let my boyfriend drive my car, knowing that he doesn't have a license. While he was out, he ran a stop sign, collided with another vehicle, and then left the scene of the accident. Then he lied to me about how the accident happened so I "wouldn't be so upset." FML

Today, whilst I was in a corner deli getting snacks, my girlfriend thought it would be funny to drive the car 50 metres down the street so that I would be confused when I came out... She was picked up by a cop driving without her license and now my car is impounded for 28 days. FML

Today, I went to my boyfriend's house so that he could break up with me. I went out to my car to leave only to discover that all of the wheels had been stolen. Even the spare. I had to spend the rest of the day with my ex-boyfriend finding a way to get my car home. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend to a local drag racing spot to get her more involved with my friends. Her ex showed up and wanted to race me. I won the race, but blew my engine. I had to use his dad's towing service to get my car home. FML

In her defense my license got suspended back in 03 but I didn't find out until 08 when I lost my wallet and went to apply for a new license. I had renewed and applied for a licence in 2 different states...no red flags till that day. The DMV is screwed up

1. You're an idiot for letting your boyfriend drive your car. The impound laws are specifically designed to take cars away from people like you. 2. You're a moron for thinking that not knowing how to drive a car with a manual transmission can somehow cause a person to "blow the engine". If you can't drive a stick, the worst you could do is stall the car a lot. The only way to destroy a modern engine is to run it without oil, which has nothing to do with the person driving it back to you.

anyone else think the world wouldn't have so much problems if all cars were stick? think about it, a lot of people wouldn't drive stick because it takes more effort. there'd be less people on the streets, less emissions, gas prices would be lower, people would be better drivers. haha i love manual transmission, my GLI is the best. anyways, OP YDI, for letting your boyfriend drive without a license, and for letting a friend drive your car without knowing stickshift
