Today, I found out I have a kidney infection. Now I'm forced to drink at least 4 glasses of water before going to bed. I also have to be woken up every two hours to be told to, "GO PEE BEFORE YOU DIE!" by my mother. FML

You should drink WAY more than 4 glasses of water a day as a matter of course not just as a remedy for an infection . I wouldn't be surprised if too little water was one of the underlying reasons for your kidney infection in the first place. I drink 3 litres a day every day, I have never had such an infection, nor a UTI, nor cystitis.

That truly sucks! Sorry, hope it clears up soon! At least your mother is taking good care of you, albeit in a slightly annoying, and kinda funny way when you look back on it. At least she cares :) That's a good thing.

I had a kidney transplant 12 years ago. I know how you feel, I need to drink a LOT of water and if I feel the need to pee I'm not supposed to hold it in and go do it,right away.
