Deep clean

Today, my husband decided to drain his motorcycle oil into an empty bottle of laundry detergent. Also today, I decided to lift a stain out of my white comforter with some detergent I found in the garage. FML

who looks in the garage for laundry detergent?

Hmm whats the difference between oil and detergent? Oh yes, one is jet black and smells. The other is a mushy blue colour. ******* idiot.

J'ai par hasard double posté, je suis désolé tout à fait :(

I'm pretty sure she didn't pour it into the washer. she was pretreating a stain so you would pour directly onto the fabric. also, what if it was one of those detergent bottles that have a push down spout? you don't need to open anything so there wouldn't be a smell. it's just a shitty situation all around

Protip: don't keep detergent in garage.

You are not your stained comforter.

I am Jack's admiration of this comment.

well, there's a couple ways to look at this, 1) she has a washer where the detergent is poured into a detergent hole, which she would either a) not notice the oil and run the machine, oiling the washer and getting rid of the squeaks. or b) noticed it was oil and not detergent. 2) she has a top load washer where she put the comforter in first then A) poured detergent straight onto the comforter and noticed B) poured detergent into a cup first then realized it was oil. or some other way... but to the ones above me, she did not deserve it for using detergent from the garage, i dont know what world you come from, but in mine, its perfectly normal to store extra supplies in the garage and is not frowned upon to use detergent stored in a garage, if any ones fault her husbands for not marking the bottle "OIL" or something to prevent any incidents like this.

Comforters are expensive. However, you can get covers for them.

Detergent you found in the garage?? you are not smart...

wow there are some tards here. Number one lots of people have their washers in the garage and usually where you have a washer you keep your detergent. Most certainly when you pick up your detergent bottle you expect detergent to come flowing forth. Not ******* motor oil!!!! So obviously when she poured it directly on the comforter it was too late react to it being Motor oil instead of detergent. Voi ******* là there you have it folks. That's how she ended up with oil on her comforter. Fyl.

Good that's how it happened but it shouldn't have. 1. Detergent and other products of said nature would be located around the washer machine. Usually you're not walking across the garage to grab the detergent (it's usually with reaching distance of the washer machine). 2. When one works on a car (especially oil related) one tends to wear some of the work (i.e fingerprints on the outside, smudges of oil, etc). 3. Lastly, most washers say to add detergent first or water first/detergent next (i.e. when using chlorine bleach). So to do like most of us do (i.e. add the detergent last) are doing it wrong and that's the reason this happened. YDI
