Today, I found the source of the bad smell that has been plaguing me for the past two weeks in my apartment. The police knocked on my door asking if I've seen my neighbor recently. I haven't. The smell has been that of a dead person. It's a smell that even Febreze can't remove. FML

Today, I finally determined the source of the horrible smell that periodically invades my apartment: there's nothing wrong with the plumbing as I previously thought, I can just smell my neighbors pooping in their bathroom on the other side of the wall. FML

Today, I opened my front door to be greeted by what I can only describe as the stink of death. After moving furniture and lifting floorboards, frantically searching for whatever had died, I finally discovered the actual source of the stench - my girlfriend's feet. FML

Today, I returned home after a four day weekend at my parents' house. Upon entering by the front door, a horrid stench assaulted my nose. Hours later I still cannot find the source of the foul odor. I'm starting to wonder if this is how it's always smelled without my knowing. FML

Today, I came home to a terrible smell in the apartment. Three hours, and a scoured kitchen later, I took the trash out. The smell was not my apartment, but from just across the alley; a neighbor had moved and emptied their fridge. Six more days of sunned milk until pickup. FML

Today, I woke up to a weird smell in my apartment. I checked everywhere but couldn’t find the source. After a while, I discovered the smell was coming from the pile of laundry I'd left in the corner, laundry that I thought was clean. It was the gym clothes I'd thrown in there three weeks ago. FML

Today, I realized my morbidly obese, sweaty sibling is the source of a strange waft I've been smelling when I get home. He'll only shower once a week, so the apartment and furniture smell like sweat and sometimes poo, especially on hot days. I didn't notice until I went outside and stepped back in to follow my nose. FML

Most likely a lie. Apparently you haven't smelt an actual decaying body before. It's not something you can just blow off for two weeks. You'd have to actually move out of the apartments to get rid of the smell, you retard.

Move out. Soon. & ignore people who think we all happen to live in Mr. Rogers' neighborhood. No matter what the circumstances of your neighbor's death, that person is not your responsibility. To all the people saying the true FML is for the family: obviously that family didn't care enough about the dead person to go without contact for at least two weeks. They're more at fault than this poor shmuck who just rents out a place in the same apartment building. Good luck.

artificial cinnamon is the scent that counteracts the smell of a rotting body, every smell has an "anti-smell" which neutralizes it. It just so happens that rotting bodies and cinnamon hearts go together... good luck with the stench ;)
