Today, I came home to tell my parents about my new nose job I got about a month ago. My mom always told me I should get one, so I didn't tell her right away to see if she would notice. I was home for about 20 minutes before she asked me, "So when are you getting that nose job?" FML

Today, I flew home to visit my parents. We haven't seen each other in two years, I've gotten a few tattoos done since, and I knew they wouldn't approve, so I bought whole new outfits that covered everything and looked professional. When I got there, the first thing my mom says to me is, "Is that a nose ring!?" FML

Today, my parents told me they'd be willing to pay for me to get a nose job. I asked them what was wrong with my nose, and they said nothing, it's just not the kind of nose they'd prefer to feature in our Christmas photos. FML

Today, I told my mom I was with my female friend last night, because I wasn't ready to tell her about my new boyfriend. I didn't realize he gave me a hickey and now my whole family thinks I'm a lesbian. They won't stop making fun of me. FML

Today, I was adjusting my nose piercing from the inside. My mother saw and thought I was picking my nose, so she slapped my hand away, tearing my nose ring out in the process. FML

Today, my boyfriend called and told me he had a surprise for me and to meet up with him to find out. The big surprise was a consultation with a plastic surgeon for rhinoplasty surgery. I never disliked my nose. FML

Dont ever get plastic surgery. I'm sure you were beautiful just the way you were [and you are right now] but if your own mom says that to you, I'd be offended. She seriously needs to recognize you and accept that you are you.

#40 - no respectable doc would give a 14 year old a nose job. Your nose keeps growing until you're well into your 20's and really throughout most of you life... you ever wonder why grandmas nose and ears are so big? One word - CARTILAGE!!!

Yeah my mother is always saying I should lose weight. She actually half jokingly says I should go anorexic. OP you shouldn't have listened to her, just be yourself.
