Ok- first, I don't think this is an FML. It's just part of the job. On the other hand, just because someone had a hard time doing the right thing or didn't enjoy it, doesn't invalidate the fact that the thing they did was good. Has nobody here done something they didn't like knowing that they were doing it for the right reason?
How is this your FML? Your grandma didn't die. A parent walked in, told the 6 year old their grandparent died, then left? Hmm...interesting.
Why is this a FML? And bad parenting, but I suppose emotional trauma made her not realize her mistake.

Kids will cry over anything, although it sucks you have to deal with it. Sorry charlie. And how shitty of the mom to just come by tell the bad news and leave.
The kid's mom didn't take him/her home? Jeez.
